Kirkwood Car Wash has been part of East Atlanta since 1997. We're one of the last true self-service car washes in Atlanta; eight bays, great equipment, open all day and all night, every single day of the year (unless there's an act of God that makes it so we can't operate...e.g. frozen water).
No appointment. No waiting for someone else to do a mediocre job. Just you, your car, and everything you need to get it clean.
HOW IT WORKS
It's easy. Here's the deal.
We encourage you to vacuum your car before entering the wash bay.
Pull into the area outside an open bay next to the vacuums if you'd like to vacuum your car before washing.

Vacuum Pricing: $2.00 for 5 minutes.

Accepted Payment Methods: Machines accept our tokens, quarters, $1 US coins, debit & credit cards (swipe only).

Coins/tokens: If using coins/tokens, you may add addition coins/tokens for additional time.

Debit/credit cards: For debit/credit cards, you will need to swipe your card again for additional time.
HOW IT WORKS

Bill Changers: Our bill changers are located next to the smiley face and vending machines. They dispense our tokens and the more you purchase, the better the deal for you!

Card Preauthorization: If you use a debit or credit card, your credit card provider will run a $10 preauthorization and the final charge will adjust to the actual amount you spend typically within 48 hours.

When you're finished vacuuming, we encourage to pull forward into the wash bay.
In the Wash Bay

Once you've pulled in, Read the instructions carefully and then insert payment to being your wash.

Car Wash Pricing: $4.00 minimum, $15.00 maximum. You use it anyway you choose.

Accepted payment Methods: Machines accept our Kirkwood Car Wash Tokens, quarters, $1 U.S. coins, & debit/credit cards (swipe or tap). The timer will count down when using coins or tokens.

For Credit Cards - $4.00 for 4 minutes minimum or up to $15 for 15 minutes. The timer counts up when you use a card.

Stopping Your Services: You can STOP the services at any time by pushing the FLASHING GREEN BUTTON on the credit card swiper. For additional time past 15 minutes, you'll need to swipe/tap your card again.

Card Preauthorization: If you use a debit or credit card, your credit card provider will run a $10 preauthorization and the final charge will adjust to the actual amount you spend typically within 48 hours.

Coins/tokens: If using coins/tokens, you may add addition coins/tokens for additional time as long as the timer hasn't stopped. If the timer stops, you'll need to start with another $4 minimum.

Note: there is a large sign explaining the different wash modes available a little further in the bay avoe the spray wand.
Pro Tip: For Best Results, we encourage you to first read the instruction signs in the wash bay and follow the steps, 1-8. As always...have fun!
Wash by Hand Policy: We do allow our customers to wash their own cars by hand (bucket washing, wash mitts, etc...), however our business policy states that we ask you to have the meter running while you're in the wash bay. Thank you for understanding!

What each button does
Available Washing Modes

Engine Degreaser - Our strongest cleaner, used on engines, motorcycles ,outdoor furniture, or jet packs!

Tire/Engine Clean - Low pressure & foamy green - apply to tires and/or engine and let soak

Low Pressure Presoak - Concentrated soap to loosen stubborn road grime. Apply to entire vehicle from the bottom up. (You may want to use #6 High Pressure Rinse after this step)

High Pressure Soap - Spray the entire vehicle with the high pressure soap to clean and knock off any dirt or grime that the Presoak and rinse didn't get.

Foam Brush - Popular! Find the brush on the other corner of the bay. It'll start spurting foamy soap. Apply with small circular motion from bottom to top.

High Pressure Rinse - For best result rinse top down.

Low Pressure Wax - Apply to entire vehicle from the bottom up. 2 times around vehicle recommended.

High Pressure Rinse - For best results rince off excess wax top down and shine baby shine!!

Yes. We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including holidays. Weather/Acts of God Permitting. We strive to keep the property clean and functioning for our self service customers. We DO NOT ALLOW independent contractors to "hang out" and approach our customers. Again, we provide a self-service facility for you to Honor your own Auto and enjoy the cleaning experience.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept credit cards, quarters, and tokens. Just remember to push the flashing green button when you're finished to end your credit card transaction. We also have coin changers for $1s - $20s.
How much does the car wash cost?
$4.00 gets you 4 minutes. You can add more time by inserting additional coins or swiping your card again.
Is this a self-service car wash?
Yes...entirely. You wash your own car using our equipment. No automated tunnel, no attendants running a machine. Just eight well-maintained bays with professional-grade tools.
