Pollen Levels Increase Due to Global Warming
Pollen season is upon us with a vengeance thanks to (you guessed it) global warming.
Experts predict record breaking pollen levels in Spring 2012, breaking the previous record set in Spring 2011 (which at the time broke the previous record set in Spring 2010). Read more at abcNews “Spring 2012 Could Be Worst Ever for Allergies.”
And, of course, we are witnessing it for ourselves right now.
To keep all your car’s finishes, inside and out, from being damaged, it’s important to rinse/wash/rinse those prickly grains of pollen off regularly. Remember, too, that the high pressure sprayers and foaming brushes at Kirkwood Car Wash can be used for many household items that need a thorough cleaning during pollen season, including: patio furniture, outdoor fabrics, lawn decorations, toys, bicycles and more.
Most importantly, keeping your car, household items and other items with which you regularly come in contact, from accumulating excess pollen, can help keep you control your seasonal allergies.

Wash and Wax to Fight Pollen
Wiping pollen off your car with a dry cloth can damage your car’s finish, producing that “swirly” effect we’ve all seen in a finish if the light is right. Rinsing your car regularly during high pollen count times of year (now!) keeps those prickly grains at bay — and following-up with a coat of protective wax actually helps repel pollen.

Play the song over in the right column and groove along to one of my favorites!
ROSE ROYCE
“Car Wash”
Ooh, ooh
You might not ever get rich
But let me tell ya
It’s better than diggin’ a ditch
There ain’t no tellin’ who you might meet
A movie star or maybe even a Indian Chief
